Die Deutsche Sherlock-Holmes-Gesellschaft (DSHG) wurde 2010 vom Vorsitzenden des Deutschen Sherlock-Holmes-Clubs (DSHC) Olaf Maurer und von Nicole Glücklich (ehemals Von Herder Airguns Ltd.) gegründet. Ziel war es, eine aktivere Gesellschaft ins Leben zu rufen, die sich z.B. bei sherlockianischen Veranstaltungen in der Öffentlichkeit zeigt, Veröffentlichungen für ein breiteres Publikum herausgibt und selbst regelmäßig Veranstaltungen organisiert.

Daraus entstanden unter anderem der Baker Street Chronicle, der 2021 sein 10-jähriges Jubiläum feiert (mit insgesamt 40 regulären Ausgaben, 5 Sonderausgaben und 7 Sonderbeilagen), der Blaue Karfunkel, jährliche Mitgliederreisen (wie nach Meiringen [CH] und Feldkirch [AT]) sowie die SherloCON (2012-2018).
